Excelerate announces new series of advanced technology and applications workshop

Excelerate Technology, the leading supplier of satellite and wireless-based data, voice and video solutions, has announced that it will be conducting a series of technology and applications workshops for police, fire and ambulance services personnel.

They will focus on the latest technologies currently being deployed to improve incident response performance and provide attendees with an opportunity to find out how responders can achieve interoperability and share information to meet their responsibilities under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004.

According to David Savage, CEO of Excelerate Technology:  “The workshops will provide the emergency services with new insights into how the latest technologies will increase efficiency and enable the delivery of higher levels of response to incidents of every size.

Attendees will also see what needs to be done to meet the requirements of the national multi-agency Interoperability Programme.  Just as importantly, they will provide a forum to discuss the changing requirements of all emergency services and help shape our ongoing solution development strategy.”

Attendees will have an opportunity to see Excelerate's newly expanded facilities and talk direct to the R&D team that has been responsible for many innovations that are now in widespread use across all emergency services.  These include RapidNet, which generates private GSM fields enabling communications to be maintained independently of existing mobile network providers.

Another market leading solutions developed by Excelerate is ECMS, a multi-faceted communications platform that delivers satellite and GSM-based VoIP (Voice over IP) PBX switching, enabling different voice devices including UHF and VHF radios, mobile phones and VoIP phones to be patched as well as providing real-time voice recording of all voice communication channels.

Excelerate Technology will be conducting the technology and applications workshops over the next three months at St Mellons, Cardiff where some of the most technically advanced vehicle yet to be built, including the new HART vehicles, will be available for inspection.

Visitors can also have the opportunity to meet other emergency services personnel and find out what they are doing to achieve interoperability and increase incident response performance.  For further information on attending these workshops, please call Excelerate Technology on 0845 658 5747 or email nicolas@excelerate.info

Excelerate Technology is the market leader in the supply and integration of satellite and wireless-based data, voice and video applications on Mobile Incident Command and Control and Communications Support Vehicles used by the emergency services.

It also offers a range of similar solutions for use in fixed and mobile environments by a wide range of other market sectors including education, utilities, medical, sport and commercial.   What makes the company different is that it operates and manages its own satellite and private GSM network from the International Headquarters near Cardiff in the UK.

There, a Network Operations Centre ensures the delivery of high quality bandwidth, which can be tailored in real time to suit the specific needs, budget and service level guarantee requirements of clients.  The company offers a complete single source solution by providing full training and support to complement its expert design, development, supply and integration capabilities.
